Houstonians are particularly proud of our skyline. What can I say? Something about seeing it makes us happy every time we find a reason to drive by it.
Sabine Bridge
Address: BUFFALO BAYOU WALK, HOUSTON, TX 77019, USA
Price: Free, with the exception of parking – free on Sundays – but always double check online !
Parking: There is limited street parking here but most cars tend to just pull off the side of the road, snap their pics, and leave. If you wait around you’ll be able to take some quick shots and be onto the next location!

Eleanor Tinsley Park – Specifically by the Volleyball Court!

Price: Free, with the exception of parking – free on Sundays – but always double check online !
Parking: There is metered parking, and actually, it’s a whole connected system! The time frame you choose actually allows you to park anywhere else Downtown! Including Discovery Green.

Not sure why, but every guide I have ever read has simply put “Eleanor Tinsley Park” what they literally always fail to mention is that the park is huge! Below is a photo from my first engagement photo session.
Iconic Locations
The Waterwall!
Known by locals simply as “The Waterall” , this location is officially in google maps as the “Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park”
Location: 2800 POST OAK BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77056, USA
Parking: Free or Pay
– Parking at the Galleria Garage is free, it is not a long walk
– You can park in a garage across the street for $5
– You can also park at the Dillard’s parking lot on the other side.
Discovery Green Park
Address : 1500 MCKINNEY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77010, USA
Parking: There is metered parallel parking surrounding the park. There are several garages downtown as well as near the Grove restaurant but there is usually a high level of street parking available.
Price: Free! Pay for parking only. Sundays free, but double check online! Paying for a parking meter here allows you to park anywhere in the city – including Eleanor Tinsley Park!
Discovery Green is a beautiful park in downtown Houston near Minute Maid Park (baseball stadium) and the George R. Brown Convention Center. There are a few large permanent sculptures around the park as well as temporary art installations along the main walkway, a few restaurants, and sometimes live music or yoga classes on the lawn.
McGovern Park
